I beg to present you as a Christmas gift the city of Savannah with 150 heavy guns and plenty of ammunition and also about 25,000 bales of cotton. ~ William Tecumseh Sherman to Abraham Lincoln on December 22, 1864
I spent a number of years working in Albuquerque, and every December, I cannot help but be reminded of piping hot bowls of New Mexican “pozole,” a stew traditionally made made from hominy, pork, and dried red chiles. As often as I tried, I could never come close to making a pozole as delicious as my friend’s wife, Rosie’s.
Rosie’s pozole – so good.
Whatever your holiday traditions may be, I would like to take this time to wish you and yours all the best. Thanks for taking time out to read this blog and thanks also for checking out the music.
Speaking of, having just had to make my way out east when the Atlanta airport shut down due to a power outage (NYT), today, I thought I’d leave you with the song “Georgia” by Tiggs da Author which I’m adding to the Spotify Playlist.
Until next week, Merry Christmas!
